Sokoto - The Motor Dealers Association has said that it would expose anyone who approached its members to transport illegal arms into the country. The National Vice President of the association, Alhaji Muktari Mapia, stated this in an interview with the media on Saturday in Sokoto. "We have asked our members to report to us, or the security agencies, anyone who approaches them to transport illegal arms into the country," he said. Mapia said the association had sensitised its members to the devastating effects of smuggling arms into the country. He said the union had also resolved to mete out severe sanctions to any of its members involved in such shoddy deal.
